Sweet and savoury tostadas loaded with fried plantain and black bean salad/salsa. The flavourful and lightly spicy bean and plantain mixture can be served warm or cold—or even as a dip with regular tortilla chips. A fun appetizer with lots of fresh flavours. Very ripe plantains are fried until golden sweet and chopped into a melange of beans, onions, and aromatics and tossed with creamy avocado crema or sour cream before being loaded on crispy tostadas. Easy to make and great for self-assembly at a buffet table.
Recipe calls for vegan avocado crema (not included) or sour cream/salted Mexican style crema. Good for internal link building.
